ANGEL MONTESINOS CHAVEZ

President of ACCE Juan 3:16
Pastor of New Life in Christ Baptist Church

Sixteen years ago, my family and I began serving God in Yungay, Peru. I serve as pastor of the Baptist church “New Life in Christ”, and it is my passion to serve and be attentive to the call of the Lord.

Six years ago, we founded ACCE Juan 3:16 after observing the need of many children, who despite living with their parents, still have a level of “abandonment”. I feel that this ministry is an inspiration from God, which has led us to share the gospel and also to help meet their material needs. Through all this work I have seen the hand of the Lord through the provision for every need we have had in order to serve, especially in these last few years. The children and their families have been led to know Jesus and to understand the plans He has for them even though they are in need.

During these years, lives have been changed and many have felt that the ministry is helping the community and that the Church both locally and internationally is praying for and helping them via this ministry.

I praise God for the fulfillment of His promises in my life and in the lives of my family. God has made the IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE and that is why I firmly believe that ACCE Juan 3:16 will continue to share the Good News and contribute to children having a better quality of life through the transforming Word of Jesus.

Why is ACCE JUAN 3:16 so important? Every day I am inspired by what I do because I believe that God is relational and gives us earthly families so that we can live in relationship and share with others that He sent us Jesus Christ to restore our relationship with Him. I feel called to be used to restore these children’s relationships with their parents and with society.

Bible Verse: Isaiah 41:10 “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

JUSEPHI MONTESINOS

Vice President

I am a teacher of English and Art, ready to help however is needed. The call I have to serve becomes a greater passion every day; service to others is something that my parents instilled in me as a child, and even though I often want to devote myself to other areas in the church, God always leads me to serve the needy. Since the creation of ACCE Juan 3:16, I have seen how the faith of the founders of the ministry has led to move the hand of God and that has moved my heart to be part of this ministry.

In these years I have seen children and their families come to Jesus, leaving their needs in His hands and I have seen them grow spiritually. How could I not want to serve the Lord in a ministry that does missionary work from the heart with great passion? That is why my wife and I are answering the call to serve the Lord and teaching our little son about how wonderful God is when you serve Him.

Why is ACCE JUAN 3:16 so important? I believe that this is the path I have to serve those who need it most, to help them to know God, and be an instrument to bring a change in the lives of these children and their families. This ministry has led me to meet people who also serve the Lord through their prayers and financial support, without whom it would be difficult to do the work of ACCE Juan 3:16.

Bible Verse: Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

ROSA ROSAS TORRES

Program Director

Over the years I have followed God’s call in my life; I am very happy to enjoy every opportunity that God allows me to serve Him. I organize the projects to be done with the children such as teaching values, workshops for parents, oversight of the tutoring program, and supporting the Pastor in the spiritual lives of the children and their families.

My older children work in the ministry as well as several young men who live with us and are like my children; they all are taught to serve God. I feel that through this beautiful ministry we can help the children and families in this community who live at risk or are in emotional, spiritual, and material need. In my opinion, I think it is not only a matter of giving them material nourishment but also spiritual nourishment so that the future they desire is one of hope.

ALEXIA MONTESINOS

Psychology Consultant

Since I was a child, I saw my parents serve abandoned and needy people. They were directors of a home for vulnerable children for many years, and I saw how those kids called them “papa and mama”. To hear it was very moving for me and even more so because I saw how my parents tried to fill their need to be loved; these children became my brothers. Those actions inspired me, so in my first year of high school I already knew that psychology would be my profession, always with the sole purpose of helping emotionally needy children. That is why in the midst of forming ACCE Juan 3:16, I finished my education for this career thanks to God’s provision through Five and Two Global Initiatives

Why is ACCE JUAN 3:16 so important? I believe that the best opportunity to show God’s love is to help those who need it, with whatever you have or whatever you are professionally. I believe that the Lord has given me the opportunity to serve using a profession He has provided for me and ACCE John 3:16. Despite the sometimes low resources that I have to serve, how much more should I do it knowing that I owe it all to the Lord?

Bible Verse: Psalm 126:5 “Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!”

YANERIN MILLA DE MONTESINOS

Elementary School Tutor

Since I was a child, I have known God and I was always struck by both how wonderful He is and His story written in the Bible. Now my husband and his family have inspired me to serve the Lord and to understand that everything in my life has a purpose. I come from a dysfunctional family, therefore, I understand the sadness of children who have a home like mine when I was a child. I can testify to the importance of families knowing Christ and the salvation that only He can give them.

Why is ACCE JUAN 3:16 so important? I think it is very important for others to know what God is doing in our lives, how God gives us the opportunities to have a different life, and how being part of a church is essential to shaping our spiritual life. ACCE Juan 3:16 is very important for children in our community because they are instructed with much love in order to know Jesus, to have a relationship with Him, and to be part of His family. I am convinced that only God can give us the happiness and peace of mind that we need.

Bible Verse: 1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”

CHRISTIAN TAPIA GUZMÀN

Workshops Coordinator

I am a professional chef, dance, and basketball enthusiast, so in my free time, I serve in ACCE Juan 3:16 giving classes in these areas. I feel very grateful for the opportunity that ACCE Juan 3:16 has given me to serve these children because I believe that if a child learns from an early age to seek God through any kind of activity, their life will be more bearable in difficult times. My childhood was not easy; because of this, I identify very much with the children who attend the program in search of help, protection, and affection. I will always be grateful to the person who showed me the way of the Lord Jesus, who has become my Savior, my Helper, my Comforter, and my Provider, therefore, I am sure that God has a great purpose for each child in the program.

Why is ACCE JUAN 3:16 so important? It is important because I believe that every child and their family should be brought to know Jesus, and while we have the opportunity to lead them to their Savior, we should do it, because that is when we will have really fulfilled the objective of the ministry.

Bible Verse: Luke 10:9 “Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’”

MARTIN BARROSO BARROSO

Volunteer

Since I was a child, I have felt God taking care of my well-being. When I was seven years old, I was placed in a children’s home, where I had the privilege to meet Pastor Angel and his wife and children, who along with the other kids became my parents and my brothers. It was there that I met an All-Mighty God, who allows things with the purpose that our path meets His; this is really encouraging for me. ACCE Juan 3:16 has been a miracle for my life, as I have seen how it was founded and how it continues to remain, only by faith in the Lord, because in the most difficult moments, I have seen God as a great provider for all of us and for the more than 30 people that are served daily.

I am currently in my last year of college, and I can only say that thanks to God and Five and Two Global Initiatives I am achieving my dreams. I serve in the ACCE Juan 3:16 program now because I was served before, and it is important to be grateful. In the program I help in the kitchen and wherever I am needed. The dream that I have placed in the Lord’s hands is that when I finish my degree in Business Administration, I will have the opportunity to leave the country for further education in my career and continue to support this beautiful ministry in the future.

Why is ACCE JUAN 3:16 so important? Because of the social situation we live in and the lack of values in many homes, ACCE John 3:16 is an important ministry that is covering all areas, for example: spiritual (knowing Jesus), emotional (helping with those hard situations that have affected lives), social (teaching respect for God, parents, and fundamental values), educational (guidance and tutoring), and the material (the provision of healthy lunches and food boxes during the pandemic). To do all of this, I thank those who give us their financial support and prayers.

Bible Verse: Hebrews 4:15 “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.”
